Module introduction

This module teaches and deepens students' understanding of the history of architecture from different eras. It also teaches us to examine architecture history through a chronological survey of the developments of Western
architecture from the beginning of time to the Enlightenment, looking at the intellectual, aesthetic,
technological, political, and economic factors which have influenced architectural design.

PROJECT 1
Progress

For Project 1, students are required to choose 1 building from different eras and sketch out an analysis. A list of buildings are given and students have to choose from the respective list. During every tutorial class, I will update Ms Dee on my progress and ask questions if any arises. I also did research on the buildings I've chosen every week to ensure I have gathered enough information. 

REFLECTION

The TGC skills I learnt from this project is Lifelong Learning and Disipline Specific Knowledge. I had to learn independantly by searching for information regarding the building online. Furthermore, I had to learn how to compile and put in the right information for the buildings as there isn't enough space on one A4 paper to fit all. 

PROJECT 2

For Project 2, we were split into group, my respective group members consist of Chew Yun Fay, Amy Lee Qian Hui, Khobigka Subbarao, Shareeha Shahreeq Gunenthiran, Chow Yong Xuan, Thaarini Muneswaran and Teoh Jin Wen. The buildings that we chose for the comparative analysis are DBP(Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka) and Stadium Merdeka. We discussed how to split our parts and I was in charge of form and space along with Yong Xuan. We also attended tutorial weekly to make sure we are on the right track. We also asked our tutor Ms Shawn questions frequently and communicated with him through TEAMS.

REFLECTION

The TGC skills I learnt from this project is Lifelong Learning and Digital Literacy and Communication Skills. I had to learn independantly by searching for information regarding the building online. Furthermore, my team and I used Canva to compile our information and also make sure it looks neat and tidy. Lastly, I also managed to communicate efficiently and effectively with my team members to get the assignment done before the due date.
